Mysore-style Ashtanga Yoga in Koh Phangan, Thailand
"Mysore Style" is the backbone of the Ashtanga Yoga method. It's called Mysore style because this is how Sri K. Pattabhi Jois taught in the south Indian city of Mysore.
It's not a class where everyone follows the teacher — it's self-practice with individual guidance. You learn the sequence gradually, one posture at a time. The teacher works with you individually — adjusting, assisting, and adding new postures when you're ready. Everyone in the room is doing their own practice at their own pace. Beginners practise next to advanced students. It works.

Mysore Style Classes

Everyone. Complete beginners to experienced practitioners. You don't need to know the sequence, be flexible, or have any prior experience. You just need to show up. Mannu will guide you from there.
For New Students — If we haven't practiced together before, I ask for a minimum of one month of consecutive daily classes to begin. This is the time we need — practitioner and teacher — to truly meet each other, to build a real foundation, and for the deeper work to begin. Drop-in classes are for students who have already practiced with me.

Drop-in classes are for students who have already practiced with Mannu. If we haven't practiced together before, I ask for a minimum of one month of consecutive daily classes to begin — so that practitioner and teacher can truly meet each other and the deeper work can begin.
All payments must be made in cash before or at the beginning of your classes.
If for any reason you're experiencing financial difficulties and cannot afford the full fee, please reach out and speak to Mannu in person or by email. Money issues should never be the reason for anyone not to practice.

Introduce yourself — how long you have practised Mysore style, who is your main teacher, until what pose you practise, how long you will be practising with us, and any injuries.
